Overview

Provide a comprehensive analytics service to the wider HR team to inform and support fact-driven decision making.

 

Work with the managed service provider and HR generalist team manage the full end to end monthly payroll process and end of year processing for the UK business.

Responsibilities

HR Analytics

  • Work closely with the HR generalist, L&D and Finance teams to understand reporting and data mining/analysis requirements and define key metrics.
  • Create a suite of reports and dashboards to present information in a way that is easy to understand and draw value from.
  • Own the ongoing maintenance of this suite, evolving existing reporting and creating new reports as required.
  • Proactively suggest innovative new ways to interrogate the data we hold to identify trends, and develop predictive analytics to support the business and fact-driven decision making.
  • Responsible for regulatory reporting and analysis of results, including gender pay gap reporting and completing relevant ONS surveys.
  • Ad-hoc reporting, as required.

 

Payroll

  • Manage resource to deliver monthly payroll for all activity processed, ensuring relevant deadlines are met and that there is complete accuracy of data prior to submission and before BACS sign off. 
  • Work with managed service provider to ensure 3rd party payments are made on time to relevant bodies.  Reconcile monthly reports (3rd party, pension, BACS, net payment) against payroll, manage authorisation processes and documentation.
  • Maintain the modified payroll arrangements and liaise with external partner and Director of Global Mobility to ensure PAYE payments are processed in a timely manner to HMRC.
  • Manage year end processes (P35, P60, P11D): devise process plan, manage collation of all relevant data, undertake relevant checks. Support Finance on PSA reporting.
  • Maintain a good working relationship with the managed service provider and monitor performance to ensure that SLAs are being met. Escalate any ongoing or unresolved service issues to the Senior Manager, Reward & Analytics.
  • Provide support to HR generalists and deal directly with employees and line managers on payroll queries.

 

HRIS and Payroll Systems

  • Own the implementation and roll out of the new payroll and HRIS systems, working closely with the US HRIS and Payroll teams and UK stakeholders.
  • Act as a system super-user for both systems, training and supporting team members and ensuring best practice.
  • Managing regular data reviews and liaising with the HR generalist team where required to ensure a high standard of data fidelity.
  • Be responsible for day to day maintenance and work with global HRIS team in NY to ensure that any more complex changes to the HRIS are made, in line with evolving business needs.
  • Work closely with stakeholders to manage and roll out updates to the system.

 

Other

  • Support the Senior Manager, Reward & Analytics with ad-hoc projects as required.

Person Specifications

Essential

  • Managed a similar sized payroll with an outsourced provider and has up-to-date knowledge of payroll legislation
  • Experience creating complex reports from scratch using HRIS software
  • Able to analyse and manipulate large volumes of data
  • Strong IT and HR System experience, specifically report creation and Excel
  • Attention to detail
  • Excellent personal organisation and strong administration skills
  • Ability to work independently and use own initiative
  • Able to articulate complex information, verbally and in writing
  • Friendly approach to assist employees with payroll queries
  • Cooperating with and respecting team colleagues to deliver business objectives

Preferred

  • Music or media industry experience
  • Experience of modified payrolls
  • Previous experience in an HR Analytics role
  • Experience of HRIS implementation/data migration
  • Diploma in Payroll and Pensions Management (MIPPDip), or equivalent
