Overview

The main purpose of this role is to support the smooth running of the Orchard Finance function. The ideal candidate will be an efficient processor of information, organised, accurate & reliable.

Responsibilities

The main responsibilities of the Transactional Accountant are to:

 

  • Raise sales invoices from distributor statements
  • Ensure that aged debt & payables are appropriately reviewed and collected/ paid
  • Reconcile and clear all sub ledger accounts on a monthly basis
  • Review & reconcile distributor payable/receivables accounts
  • Raise PRs for co-op & direct costs as required using Bpack purchase order system
  • Be an inputter on Barclays.net if manual payments are needed
  • Check bank balances, ensure enough funds on hand in Barclays accounts. Check that transactions are loaded in to SAP
  • Assist with clearing bank open items
  • Assist in new label set ups
  • Liaison between the business and outsourced transactional division
  • Review specific balance sheet accounts
  • Ensure that the accounts up to trial balance are accurate

 

Royalty month-end:

  • Review recoupable accounts reconciliations ensuring accuracy of recharging vs costs incurred
  • Compile recharge summary to MRC (royalty provider), place invoice copies on cloud directory ('The Box') for statement processing and assist in detailed activities around the royalty month-end
  • Ensure that information is accurately processed from The Orchard royalty system in to SAP
  • Liaise with Sony IT if any issues
  • Ensure accuracy of label self-billing invoice statements and distribution & recharge invoices
  • Provide MRC with recoupable spend & all backup
  • Answer detailed label queries as directed from the Head of Finance or direct from labels

Type of Experience

 

·      Solid understanding and experience in both Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable function & processes

 

 

Qualifications

 

 

 

·      Good level of education. University level or equivalent and good prior experience in a fast paced working environment

 

Skills

 

 

 

 

 

·      MS Office, particularly MS Excel

·      SAP

·      Bpack (or similar purchase order system)
