Overview

The main purpose of this role is to support the smooth running of the Century Media Finance function & ensuring that the month end result of accurate.

 

The ideal candidate will be an efficient processor of information, organised, accurate &reliable with experience of accounts up to trial balance.

Responsibilities

The main responsibilities of Finance Accountant are:

 

Transactional:

 

 

    • Raise Sales invoices from licensing statements/ Pay Pal statements
    • Recharge affiliates based on costs incurred, providing backup as required
    • Raise Purchase requisitions for costs incurred using purchase order system ensuring any recoupable spend is coded accurately
    • Advise German business on queries related to purchase order coding
    • Barclay Card coding – analysis of monthly credit card statements & processing into SAP
  • Pay Pal coding & reconciliation – raising sales invoices for income received ensuring correct project / contract coding
  • Sales statement reconciliation using Automated Dashboard
  • Provide tax residency certificates to customers as required
  • Review copyright invoices received from MCPS for appropriateness vs provision held

 

 

 

Reporting:

 

  • Month end accruals (sales/ cost of sales)/ prepayments
  • Prepare balance sheet recs for review for Germany Financial Controller
  • Review month end result & confirm result to Germany finance team in line with reporting deadline
  • Assist with year- end statutory audit as required, providing information to UK auditors

 

Person Specifications

 

Type of Experience

 

·      Transactional Finance/ accounts up to trial abalnce

·      Music industry desirable

 

Qualifications

 

 

 

·      Good level of education. A’ level or equivalent

 

 

Skills

 

 

 

 

 

·      MS Office, particularly MS Excel

·      SAP

·      Bpack (or similar purchase order system)
