  • Overview

    To assist the Senior Business Administration Manager with the accurate research, creation and management of track and product in details for all Sony Music Entertainment UK & Ireland (SME UK/IE) owned content, and working with others in the Sony Music supply chain to ensure a seamless product delivery to our global digital and physical retail partners.


    Please note: this is a 12 month contract


    • Generating ISRCs, product numbers and barcodes for all SME UK/IE owned content and assigning ISRCs to some third party owned tracks where applicable
    • Liaising with our Legal team to ensure any artist contract rights are accurately reflected in our various global databases
    • Working with others in the Business Administration team to ensure label copy information adheres to current business standards, and making adjustments to stay ahead of any future business changes
    • Entering label copy information to the Sony Music repertoire registration database for all SME UK/IE owned products in accordance with agreed timelines
    • Working alongside the Sony Music supply chain, ensuring all products released in the UK are correctly registered with PRS for Music, the Official Charts Company, and PPL
    • Adding missing performer details which did not appear on our label copy when required by PPL
    • Resolving all track and product queries when required
    • Involvement with special projects in accordance with the needs of the various databases receiving our repertoire both internally and externally
    • Clean up of catalogue SME UK/IE owned repertoire when required

    Person Specifications


    • Demonstrable experience of working with metadata and databases
    • Administration experience within a busy office environment
    • A team player with the ability to learn quickly and work closely with everyone in the supply chain
    • Ability to work effectively under pressure and to tight deadlines without constant supervision
    • Ability to communicate effectively by e-mail, telephone, and face-to-face
    • Ability to tailor communication styles to suit our target audience – interacting with key stakeholders and to all levels of seniority
    • An excellent eye for detail with strong Interpretative skills
    • Reliable and hard working

    • Label copy experience
    • Business administration qualification
    • Experience at a record company or one of the organisations such as OCC, PPL or PRS for Music
    • Previous employment at music or lifestyle brands
